India A are set to play three List A matches against Australia A and the TimesofIndia.com has learnt that both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will not be forced to play in the series and their participation. If at all it happens, it will only happen if they need game time before the tour of Australia, where the Men in Blue will play three ODIs.

Former India left-arm spinner Sunil Joshi has been appointed as the bowling coach for the India A team in their upcoming series against Australia A. Alongside Joshi, Atul Ranade, currently the assistant coach of Mumbai, will serve as the fielding coach. Hrishikesh Kanitkar will continue as the head coach.

Shreyas Iyer will captain India A against Australia A in Lucknow, joined by KL Rahul and Mohammed Siraj for the second match. Several new faces, including N Jagadeesan and Ayush Badoni, have been included after strong domestic performances.
