British tennis sensation Emma Raducanu has dismissed speculation about a romantic relationship with Grand Slam champion Carlos Alcaraz. She addressed the rumors during a pre-Wimbledon press conference, also confirming their upcoming mixed doubles partnership at the US Open.
Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz share a moment.
The rumors sparked after Raducanu was seen supporting Alcaraz at the HSBC Championships at Queen's Club. Their recent training session together ahead of Wimbledon 2025 further fueled the speculation.
When questioned directly about a potential romance, Raducanu simply stated: "We're just good friends."
Adding a touch of humor to the situation, as the reporter attempted to wrap up the questioning, Raducanu quipped, “Way to wrap up.”

The two tennis stars have been preparing for their mixed doubles debut at the US Open. Raducanu expressed her excitement about the partnership, stating, "It was fun yesterday. We were both on court with Evian, just getting some volley practice ahead of New York. I'm really happy to be playing with him. We had a great time."
Raducanu also revealed that the initiative for the partnership came from Alcaraz himself. "Yes, he asked me. He asked me earlier on in the year, and I was very surprised, honoured, and excited," she said.
Raducanu's career has seen its share of ups and downs since her remarkable 2021 US Open victory. Most recently, she faced a defeat against Maya Joint at the Eastbourne Open before reaching the quarter-finals.
Alcaraz, on the other hand, has continued his impressive rise in the tennis world following his 2022 US Open win, securing several significant titles along the way.
Following his victory at the HSBC Championships, Alcaraz is preparing to compete at Wimbledon 2025, where he will face Fabio Fognini of Italy in the opening round.
The US Open will mark the beginning of Raducanu and Alcaraz's journey as a mixed doubles team, a highly anticipated collaboration in the world of tennis.
